HISTORY
Hanzo is a long time public abortion-rights activist (see Documents file, Exhibits 78-102). She has been a central figure in numberous lawsuits (see Documents file, Ehibits 218-987) with the aim of keeping them from lawfully engaging in protests at the clinic. In a 1985 lawsuit by Portland feminist Women's Health Center, she appeared as the author of an "analysis" of the abortion clinic's "losses" due to pro-life activism. The analysis was discredited as Hanzo had only one course in "Marxist economis" as credentials for producing the report. Later she sued for a "stalking" order against a local activist, Paul deParrie, because he had conducted two peaceful pickets outside Hanzo's home within the space of eight months The case is currently on appeal.
